Assuming the fact that music is an essential thing for the soul, I´m going to talk about the unplugged music. That disconnected way of making sound, that brings all the freshness and cozy feelings that an acoustic guitar and a good voice, accompanying with some drums, makes an special version of single song that we ever heard. Once I heard Zac de la Rocha, frontman of Rage Against The Machine, saying that the best songs come to life in to an acoustic guitar, and that rawness is what an acoustic session brings to the table.
World Wide the most famous acoustic sessions are the one produced by MTV. By the 90´s being invited to make one of those sessions was a sing of recognition. Remered for all is the 1994 Nirvana's Unplugged, where they play less popular songs, inmediatly those songs become the mainstream song by Nirvana. Also they inmmortalyze a raw version of The Man Who Sold The World by David Bowie.
The chilean band Los Tres was the first latin american band that was invited to do an MTV Unppluged. To me, one of the best it's Soda Stereo Unplugged. Musica y confort para volar becomes to be one of the last works by the band, and shows some of the best works by Gustavo Cerati. The version of La Ciudad de la Furia, Accompanied by Andrea Echeverri, is the climax of the presentation.
